HOW TO USE THE GO GUARDED RING
Each ring comes with five different size adjusters that fit into an opening on the inside bottom of the ring. Decide which finger you will be wearing your Go Guarded ring on (we recommend the pointer finger of your dominant hand), and then try the different size adjusters until your ring is a comfortable fit. You don’t want the ring too loose so that it potentially could slip off your finger, but you also don’t want it too tight that it is uncomfortable. With five different ring adjusters, we have faith you will find the proper fit. The ring is comfortable, convenient, and effective!

I’m impressed by how comfortable this ring is while running, and appreciate all the sizing options. I choose to wear it on my dominant hand, middle finger. I just have to be careful when I touch my face, so as not to accidentally poke my eye! I run early in the morning when it’s still dark, and it’s an added sense of security. The plastic is very hard, and very sharp, so I know it’d do a lot of damage if needed. I especially love that it requires no real thought — just reaction, should anything happen. Plus it’s rather sneaky and could really take someone off guard, giving time to run away. I like that this can be worn and I won’t need to dig it out of my pocket or drop it. The thing is, it’s winter and the ring fits for now (with the sizing thing inserted). But when the weather heats up, my fingers will swell I know this won’t fit; if I take out the sizer, it will be too big and with the sizer it’ll be far too tight. This is a favorite for my running and cycling. Luckily, I haven’t needed to use this “ring” yet, but I think it could be helpful. It fits fine and is comfortable enough that I can forget I’m wearing it. For actual self-defense, it requires an unusual striking angle, which I’ve practiced, just in case! I doubt it would affect an attacker if used against jeans or a jacket; so whenever I put it on, I mentally prepare myself to use it fiercely on someone’s exposed face or neck. During evening walks, I continue to carry pepper spray and a beefy metal flashlight (holding it like a baton, the way cops do).

The adjusters are helpful. I recommend sizing when your hand is warm and fingers already expanded a bit. Size is very easily changed, and I have the confidence that I could do some damage with this if confronted with a bad situation. The reason I took off a star is because there are a few spots where the plastic is a bit rough from where it had seams in the mold, and these scrape my skin. I will need to get some fine grit sandpaper to smooth those little rough parts out. Otherwise I’m super happy with this purchase!

I carry mace and wanted to have more protection for when I go out to run or walk. I’ve worn my ring for a walk (approximately 20 minutes) and for a 10 mile run. It was comfortable, didn’t slip, and didn’t get in the way. I had to make sure I didn’t get lazy with my form and how I held my arms when I ran so that the ring didn’t catch on my top. I could wipe the sweat away safely, too. I got the medium size and it comes with sizers. The ring should feel loose, but not move. There are several colors to choose from. It took only a few days for delivery and is an affordable option. Overall, I would recommend it for anyone who wants to feel a little safer out.

I was thinking the “blade” was going to be made of metal for some reason and it is all plastic. The more I think about that, the more I like it though. I could pack in my checked bags to take on vacation for running in lesser known areas and feel safer. I ordered a black one and it did not have the rubber like shield I saw in the pictures, but I am ok with that. I like knowing that I am always ready for the unexpected, be it a dog or person. I was already thinking about ordering a ring, but after a traumatizing incident, I went and bought everything. The ring, the alarm, the knife, and the pepper spray knife combo. The knife and alarm stay on my keys so they are with me at all times. The pepper spray knife combo I wear when going for walks. I did wear my ring on walks too, but unfortunately I seemed to have lost it. The pepper spray sprays well, and despite me being deaf, the alarm is extremely loud. It flashes too. While the two knives’ tips have broken (just the very tip of it), they are still very sharp. I have accidently stabbed the roof of my car quite a few times and left holes up there. I even occasionally push the tip of it on my skin to see if it’s still sharp. Having all of these on me has given me confidence and lowers my anxiety a little when I go walking. I definitely recommend them.
