OUR STORY
I am Jodi Fisher, founder of Go Guarded Pride. The inspiration for Go Guarded came a few years ago during a solo run in a local park when I inadvertently took a wrong turn and ended up concerned for my personal safety.
And while the focus of Go Guarded has been on the safety needs of runners, I understand there are grave safety concerns in the LGBQT+ community, so am now developing Go Guarded Pride. I have been an ally for many years. My brother, Larry, died from AIDS in 1989. Since then, I have been an ally, advocate, and supporter of causes in this community.
